A group of Lincoln Parish teachers and leaders spent part of last week at the Teacher Leader Summit in New Orleans, learning alongside educators from across Louisiana.

They picked up new ideas, shared what’s working in their classrooms, and brought back strategies to help students succeed this school year. We appreciate their willingness to keep learning and growing, even during the summer months.

This week, Lincoln Parish School District wrapped up the 2025-2026 school year.

From August to May, there were a lot of memories made, lessons learned, and milestones reached across our schools. Thank you to the faculty and staff who worked hard throughout the year to support students and make this school year a success.

A school year goes by fast, but the impact made inside classrooms lasts a lot longer.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We hope the time you spent in Lincoln Parish School District helped shape the person you are today and prepared you for wherever life takes you next.

Thank you to our students, staff, families, and communities for a great year.

What better way to end the school year than with a taco bar?

The Special Education Department recently hosted a “Taco Bout the Year” event where staff members stopped by to share experiences from the year, talk about what worked, what could be improved, and encourage one another heading into summer.

Good conversations, lots of teamwork, and plenty of tacos made for a great way to wrap up the year.

Some are just starting school. Others are finishing up.

We asked kindergarteners and seniors to give each other advice about school, friendships, growing up, and life. The answers were funny, sweet, and a good reminder of just how fast these years go by.

Last week, rising 3rd-6th grade students received a book connected to next year’s ELA curriculum, along with a fun project choice board to complete over the summer.

Students who complete the challenge and return their project at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year will earn a special reward!

We hope our students take this opportunity to dive into a great book, stay engaged over the summer, and keep growing as readers.
