Every community is affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.

On September 26, GFWC members across the country will unite for a shared Day of Service dedicated to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and strengthening local partnerships working to create safer communities.

Whether through service projects, donation drives, educational programs, or advocacy efforts, every action contributes to a larger impact.

Together, GFWC clubs are turning awareness into action.

The Woman’s Club of Rutherford is participating in the Day of Service by hosting a Toiletries Drive at Rutherford Day to benefit the Center for Hope & Safety.

Rutherford Day: September 26th, 12pm - 5pm at Lincoln Park.

Eagle Scout Project Clothing & Linen Drive

Session has approved a project involving an Eagle Scout Service Project. The Scout is collecting clean, warm weather, wearable clothing (no winter clothing, please) and household linens. A collection barrel will be located at the East Passaic Avenue entrance. Donated items will be collected by NJ Clothing Drive.

UPDATE: Our Scout is at 40% of the goal!

🎨✨ ART, TRANSFORMATION & HOPE ✨🎨

The Rutherford Arts Council is excited to be hosted by Atelie Eryn Santos Hair Design as we present the incredible work of local artist Sean Dunne, “The Happy Heathen.”

♻️ From Discarded to Extraordinary

Sean transforms something most of us would simply throw away—discarded aluminum cans—into striking works of art. But his story goes much deeper than the materials he uses.

For Sean, these cans were once symbols of his struggle with addiction. Through cutting, shaping, and welding, he has transformed those same materials into sculptures that represent beauty, resilience, recovery, and hope.
Each piece tells part of a personal journey—a reminder that what has been broken, discarded, or lost can be reimagined and transformed into something meaningful and beautiful.

Sean’s art challenges us to look beyond what something was and imagine what it could become.

❤️ His message is simple, yet powerful:
�Even the darkest chapters of our lives can be reshaped into something beautiful.

Believe it or not, summer is almost over. And what does that mean? Pumpkin People in the Park! Taking place this year from October 10th to October 22nd in Lincoln Park. Great activity for families and businesses! Let us know if you'd like to participate. All proceeds to support the Woman's Club of Rutherford.
