There are very few words that can express how grateful we are to so many that participated in the rescue/relief/operational efforts here at the Rutherford County Airport in the wake of Helene. I am truly grateful to God for all the intricate details coming together and the amazing amount of love poured out here in response to the tragedy and devastation occurring in our region and still ongoing both here in part and in the mountain regions and beyond. This outpouring of kindness and generosity has been amazing/humbling to witness… the same has been true for many other airports and communities with similar stories. Blessings and continued prayers for all those who have been affected and continue to feel the effects of this incomprehensible event reverberating throughout our region and beyond.

A 1944 P63 King Cobra stopped in for fuel on the way to the Mid-Atlantic WW2 Weekend 33rd Annual Event in Reading, PA. This was the 7th one built and used as a test aircraft.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has released a new broadband internet service map, which displays where internet services are and are not available as reported by internet service providers. We are encouraging ALL Rutherford County residents and businesses to review data for their home/business locations and submit challenges to the FCC by January 13, 2023, which is fast approaching!! Click on the link below and follow the directions and type your address in the search bar to begin. The instructions attached will walk through the rest of the steps.
