✨The Town is seeking volunteers to establish an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Commission! ✨

This specific Commission was established by the voters at Town Meeting in 1992 and our goal is to bring it to fruition. But we can't do it without YOU!

Pursuant to MGL c. 40, §8J, there is a specific make-up for the Commission as follows:

▪️A majority of members must have a disability
▪️One member must be an immediate family member of a person with a disability
▪️One member must be an elected, or appointed, Town official

📣 We are looking for a new Planning Board member! 📣

In the last couple of years, the Planning Board created a position for an Associate Member. This individual would be appointed for a 3-year term and would participate in all matters that come before the Board. However, this position only votes when there are not enough members present to take action.

Since it's inception, 2 residents have served in this role. And they enjoyed it SO much, they ran for an elected seat and both are now full-time members of the Board. 🥳

The Planning Board is largely responsible for community planning, development, subdivision oversight and zoning bylaws. They play an important role in Town affairs and new faces are always welcome!

If you are interested in serving, please complete a Volunteer Application Form: https://www.rutlandma.gov/FormCenter/Town-Administrator-11/Volunteer-Application-Form-65

📣Your input matters! 📣

The Central Mass Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) is seeking public input on their "Vision Zero Action" initiative.

❓What is Vision Zero? ❓

Vision Zero is a data‑driven, nationally recognized approach focused on eliminating fatal and serious injury crashes on our roadways. Our community's insight is essential, as roadway context, challenges, and priorities vary across Central Massachusetts. Local knowledge will directly influence where analysis, resources, and future safety investments are focused.

We're asking our residents to please participate in the Vision Zero Survey to ensure that the perspectives, and priorities of our town, are reflected in the regional plan.
