Chris Siliski Accepts Democratic Nomination for Vermont House of
Representatives, District 6

RUTLAND, Vt.-August 29, 2026 —

I’m proud to announce that Chris Siliski has accepted
the Democratic nomination for the Vermont House of Representatives, District 6, which includes
residents of southwest Rutland City who vote at the American Legion.

“I am honored to accept the nomination of the Rutland City Democrats,” Siliski said.

“I amgrateful for the confidence they have placed in me, and I am ready to work hard to earn the
respect and support of Rutland City voters.
”
Siliski said his campaign will focus on listening to Rutland residents to better address the issues
that affect everyday lives. He is especially interested in pushing for more economic resources to
Rutland and hearing from District 6 residents about how they are dealing with the rising cost of
necessities such as housing, energy, transport, taxes, medical care, and food. Siliski refers to
himself as a “conservative democrat”: one who stands up to fight for the liberty and the rights of
all people to build a better life while practicing fiscal pragmatism, balanced budgets, and
common sense, market friendly solutions.
”
“Our community needs representatives who will listen, work across differences, and focus onpractical solutions,
” Siliski said.

“I believe Rutland deserves a strong voice in Montpelier—but
also someone who will put the interests of our city above political and other affiliations.
" Siliskiadded,

"My strong analytical skills and ability to condense information to easily communicate
complex matters as well as build and leverage support will help us all settle on practical
solutions for District 6 and Vermont.
”
Siliski looks forward to meeting with Rutland City families, business owners, and institutional
leaders throughout the campaign to hear both their concerns and ideas for progress. According
to Representative Mary Howard, whom Siliski will be replacing if elected,

"It has been a great
pleasure to know Chris for many years. His love of Rutland City has always inspired me and
others. Chris works hard, demonstrates great integrity, and has the ability to work with and
respect all people. He'll make a wonderful, accessible representative.
”
“I am proud to call Rutland home,
" Siliski stated, and I want to build upon my past experiences
as a member of the Board of Alderman, Police Commission, and various local non-profit boards
to help make our city an even better place to live, work and raise a family. I will work hard to
earn your support this November.

Dear Editor:
I’ve known Molly Gray for several years now, and I want to tell you why we need her back in the Lt. Governor’s office, especially now.
Molly’s commitment to working families isn’t new, it's unwavering.
Fighting for working families was a focus of hers when she served as our Lt. Governor. In fact, one of her last acts in office was to pull together legislative leaders and advocates for a policy summit to build support for passing Vermont’s landmark child care bill, as well as universal paid family and medical leave. Sadly, we still have not passed the latter.
When her term ended, Molly didn’t give up, she grew a statewide organization, helping Afghan refugees secure jobs, housing and other support, which in turn grew our workforce and tax base. She also became a mom and has helped care for her mom who battles multiple sclerosis. Fighting for paid family and medical leave, universal primary care, affordable housing, and lower costs aren’t hypothetical for Molly – it is what she is living as a generation caring for kids and parents at the same time.
Molly doesn’t give up, she has shown she’ll fight for our families as hard as she fights for her own, and she’s both fierce and compassionate. Additionally, Molly knows the job, knows Vermont, knows what is at stake, and has built the coalition to win.
I’ve joined more than 105 leaders from across the political spectrum and every level of government in supporting Molly including the Teamsters, the Vermont State Employees Association, former Governors Howard Dean and Madeleine Kunin—both former lieutenant governors—and hundreds of Vermonters.
I invite you to join me in voting for Molly Gray for Lt. Governor on August 11

Hello Everyone,

All good things must come to an end. After 10 years of representing my neighbors in The State House, I have decided it's time to retire. I will not be running for re-election this fall. I look forward to working to make sure the people of my district are well represented next January. Thank you for the honor of my lifetime. Onward!

Mary
