Two dogs were found in the Cleveland Avenue area and are currently safe. We are looking for their owner(s).

When our Bike Patrol 🚲hits up training at Killington Resort they think they’re basically in a Red Bull video doing stunts even though they’re on the green circle trails 🤣. They even make others at the station call them “athletes” 🚴 or talk about how they “almost” went pro in college. We checked, they didn’t.

Rest assured, Rutland — while they’re out here training for the X Games in their minds 🤯, they’re actually keeping the streets safer on two wheels. And yes, we’re still making them wear the helmets 🪖. Even for the “stunts.”

Summer Street Party is happening NOW in Downtown Rutland, Vermont! 🎉🎶

We’re out enjoying the music, food, and community vibes with everyone. Keep an eye out for our Bike Patrol units 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ cruising through downtown. They’re here to say hi 👋, help with directions 🗺️, and make sure everyone has a safe, fun evening.

If you see our officers on bikes, stop and say hello! Have a great time and look out for one another. 💙

🚨 Drug Seizure 🚨

Earlier this week, officers responded to a call for service at Cumberland Farms in Rutland City. During the course of the investigation, officers located and seized approximately 24 grams of suspected co***ne base, along with associated packaging. Two arrests were made in connection to the case.

This seizure reflects the ongoing efforts of officers working daily to keep illegal drugs off our streets and out of our community. The Rutland City Police Department remains committed to protecting public safety and addressing criminal activity through thorough investigations and strong community partnerships.

We would like to thank our officers for their continued diligence, professionalism, and dedication to serving the citizens of Rutland.

🚔 HONORING THOSE WHO SERVE 🚔

This afternoon at approximately 3:30 PM, members of the Vermont Army National Guard will be es**rted northbound on Route 7 through the City of Rutland by law enforcement as they begin their journey for an upcoming deployment.

🚗 Motorists should expect brief traffic delays along the es**rt route as the convoy travels through the city.

We invite community members to safely gather along the route and join us in sending off these dedicated soldiers. A wave, an American flag, or a simple show of support can mean a great deal to those preparing to serve far from home.

💙❤️ Let’s show these brave men and women the strength of the Rutland community and our appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

📍 Feel free to join us anywhere along the route to help give our soldiers the sendoff they deserve.
