The Library will be open today! The shelves are still indecent and ask for privacy at this time as they are still getting dressed. However our Librarians will help you find what you’re looking for though it may take some extra time. We are excited to show off the new carpet and redesign so stop on in even if it’s just to make the shelves blush a little.

Just a brief update! The library will be closed till Thursday August 20th we apologize for the inconvenience, we are still in the process of moving everything back because the largest part of the carpets is complete. However if you would like to come give a library plant a new loving permanent home feel free to come take them!

Library Passes Are Available!

Looking for a fun and affordable way to explore local attractions? Your Rutland Public Library card can help!

Library passes are available at the Rutland Public Library, and this year we’re excited to add the Ecotarium to our collection of passes!

Passes are available for:
🌿 Ecotarium
🏛️ Old Sturbridge Village
🎨 Worcester Art Museum
🌳 Massachusetts State Parks
🌸 New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill
🏊 Rutland Town Pool

Words cannot express how thankful we are to all the amazing volunteers that came to help us clear out the shelves! Every book found a new temporary home and it’s all thanks to our volunteers. We thank the community for its unwavering support and can’t wait to show you the updates to the carpeting and flow of the library! Stay tuned!

The Rutland library will be closed next week! We are having the carpets replaced and moving furniture! The meeting rooms are open so if you have a meeting booked not to worry, but the upper level will be closed for safety during the renovation. Exciting news! The carpets are being replaced in the library. Less exciting news this means all the books in the adult section must come off the shelves in order to move….So we are looking for volunteers to help move them to a cozy safe spot while their home is under construction. So bring your friends and join us this Friday at 1pm to move books, have some pizza, and help us get the library ready to get updated!
