Just a friendly reminder that bears are very active right now! Taking in bird feeders only at night doesn’t always work. They are out in the day too and will figure out where they are! These are often hungry Mamas! Just ask my kids how crabby I get when I’m hangry! 🤣 take down the feeders, do not leave seeds or any other type of food on porches, make sure cat and dog food is not left outside etc. Thank you!

This very sweet boy was picked up yesterday by the Sterling ACO. He is housed with us at this time. He was brought to the vet as he is extremely thin. We have him on a feeding plan to help him gain some much needed weight. We don’t jump to conclusions and assume he was neglected as he may have been missing for quite some time. It’s Bear season! Please be aware and leave them alone! Take in your bird feeders and any food source. I know there is a mom and her cubs near Rutland center. I know they are cute however, please be respectful and not try to approach and get pics. This goes for any bear sighting. They are out and about. They will leave you alone so please be courteous and do the same for them. This keeps both them and you safe. Thank you!
