Members are trained in first aid, CPR, vehicle extrication, water rescue and recovery and search and rescue. The Grainger County Rescue Squad is one of the many organizations embedded into the grain of the fibers that hold our community together. We are comprised of volunteers from the community and operate solely on donations. We provide a number of resources to the entire community at no cost to
the tax payer. These include, but not limited to:
1) Emergency Medical Responders (Nationally/State Certified) - assist the Grainger County EMS.
2) Emergency Vehicle Extrication (state certified) - extricate individuals from vehicles involved in a motor vehicle crash.
3) Swift-water Rescue (state certified) - rescue individuals involved in any type of water catastrophe.
4) Land Search/Rescue (state certified) - search and track individuals who may of wandered off or be lost in almost any type of terrain. We are constantly training and aiming to improve.
