Last week, Mrs. Gasparini’s classes presented their Odyssey Reboot projects. Each group read a different section of the book and created a project to teach the class the content in a modern approach that is palatable to teenage readers.

Students were able to choose how they presented their adaptation and did so through board games, game shows, interviews, podcasts, stop motion animation videos, and more! Groups created all the components of their projects including 3D printing pieces!

Recently, Mrs. Zahl and Mr. Kerley’s Geometry B class took some time to work with triangles.

First, they worked on practicing identifying, measuring, and cutting 3 types of triangles. Then they used triangles to create either an original piece of art or to create a piece done in triangles but inspired by a famous painting or style!

It was great collaborating on and helping support this activity!

You have to appreciate the creativity with these games!

Students drew by hand or used Keynote, Pages, other apps on iPads, and made 3D printed game pieces to bring the games to life and make each one unique!

Each group also recorded a walkthrough video to teach players how to play the game which was accessible through a QR code sticker on each game.

Students used their mobile devices and iPads to watch the videos and give feedback via a Google Form.
