Thunderbolt artists were recognized by the Pueblo City-County Library for artwork created to highlight All Pueblo Reads. Students created violins inspired by Yo-Yo Ma. Winning students include Gabriella Basile, Ashlyn Buck, Kayla HImmelberg, Jude Johnson, Daniel Bisa Managtag, Brooke Newitt, Jeronimo Ortiz Guevata Ortiz, Adalyn Penrod, Jayden Perkins, and John Siudyla.

Student musicians and artists joined our community last night to enjoy student work at Rye High School.

Students at Rye High School were recognized by the Pueblo League of Women Voters for the work developing artwork that promotes voting advocacy. Gabrielle Basile, Sarah Jessop, Emma Parrish, Melody Twarog, Zoriay Tillery, Lucian Adkins, Olivia Bourgeois, Adalyn Penrod, and Jude Johnson were recognized with a certificate and a check for $50. Their work will be used by the league to promote voting in Pueblo County.

So excited to be a Thunderbolt!

We’re excited to announce Rye High School’s Staff Member of the Month for December! Congratulations to Mrs. Amie Bulman, who was recognized by her colleagues and announced at the school this morning. She was nominated for managing a wide range of responsibilities with professionalism and enthusiasm, and for her hard work in driving improvements and creating opportunities for students, including planning affordable, minimally disruptive field trips. Her expectations are clear: she maintains high standards for herself and those around her. She is willing to jump in and support when needed. Thank you, Mrs. Bulman. You have been a great asset to our team!
