The Department of Revenue is holding a public meeting to discuss property taxes and the assessment process.

Thursday July 6, 2023 at the Ryegate Firehall from 6-8pm.

Due to lightening on Tuesday and fried computers and network issues the Treasurer's Office will not be able to do anything connected with motor vehicles. The rest of the Court House can not do anything that is state related. We are working on the problem and hope to have them resolved by Monday. If you need title work, motor vehicle work, or anything else state please call to see if we are up and running. Thanks for your patience.

Golden Valley County is seeking individuals interested in the appointed elected position of Golden Valley County Treasurer.
Successful candidate will be appointed to fill out the remaining term of the current Golden Valley County Treasurer. Candidate must understand this is a temporary appointment to an elected position with the term expiring December 31, 2022. If appointee desires to continue in this position they will be required to run for election of the Golden Valley County Treasurer.
Candidate will oversee a variety of moderately complex work within the department including the mailing and collection of property taxes, title and registration of motor vehicles.
This position also includes the duties of County Superintendent of Schools.
A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Position requires strong supervisory, communication and leadership skills as well as strong computer skills, accounting and bookkeeping experience. Candidate must be able to pass a background check.

POSITION AVAILABLE: The Treasurer’s Office in Golden Valley County is seeking an interested professional to fill the position of Deputy Treasurer/Superintendent of Schools/Motor Vehicle position. Applications and full job description are available from the Clerk and Recorder’s Office 8a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Just a reminder, due to the Federal General Election on Tuesday November 3, 2020, the Golden Valley County Commissioner Meeting will be on Monday November 2, 2020.
Also due to the election, Golden Valley County Courthouse will be closed for normal business on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Election hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Normal business hours at the Golden Valley County Courthouse will resume on Wednesday November 4th, 2020.
