At our recent training event, we covered SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) confidence. Both new and experienced members benefited from the training provided by Minnesota State Moorhead.

PUBLIC NOTICE: NO OPEN BURNING THIS WEEKEND

The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reminding all residents and visitors that open burning is prohibited this weekend due to dry and windy conditions. This includes burn piles, brush burning, and other open flames. These restrictions are in place to help prevent wildfires and protect our communities.

✅ Campfires in designated fire rings are still allowed, but please use extra caution and never leave fires unattended.

As many of you head outdoors for the fishing opener or gather with loved ones for Mother’s Day, we encourage everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly.

Come out to the fire hall Halloween evening for cider, hot chocolate and candy bars for the kids. Area residents, businesses, and organizations will be at the fire hall also handing out treats. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

The Sabin-Elmwood Fire District is selling this truck. ONLY 10,600 miles on it. It would make a great service truck for someone. Please pass along to anyone that might be interested. They can message the department page if they would like to take a look at it.

Thank you to the dispatch team for everything you do for us and always checking to make sure we are OK.

This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, and we recognize and honor our Public Safety Telecommunicators for their work throughout the week. This week celebrates the people on the other end of the 911 call when a person picks up the phone to call for help. This week also coincides with National 911 Education Month.

Thank you, to all the women and men who work at the Red River Regional Dispatch Center and for your hard work you throughout the year. Your hard work and dedication is very much appreciated!!
