Over 200 notices were served throughout the Village today, September 4, regarding local ordinance violations.

We want to remind residents to please read your notice carefully and in its entirety. These notices are not strictly limited to tall grass.

Notices issued today may include one or more of the following concerns:

• Tall grass
• Noxious weeds
• Vegetation and overgrowth
• Trees
• Inoperable vehicles
• Inoperable appliances
• Junk and debris
• Tires

If you received a notice, please make sure you understand which specific violation or violations are listed for your property and address each item accordingly.

Our goal is not to create hardship for residents, but to ensure Village ordinances are being followed consistently and to help keep our community clean, safe, and well maintained.

What an incredible turnout this evening to celebrate Larry!

Thank you so much to Larry’s family, our community members and friends, Amy, Tony, and Donna from our Village Council, and of course the Sabina Moose Lodge #1244 and the Moose Riders for coming together to make this special celebration possible.

It was wonderful to see so many people show up to honor someone who has meant so much to Sabina. Seeing “Larry Runyan Way” officially dedicated is such a fitting tribute and a wonderful way to ensure Larry’s name and the impact he has made on our community will be remembered for generations to come.

What a special evening for Larry, his family, and the entire Sabina community. ❤️

This week's family storytime with Ms. Brandy will feature the book "Stone Soup“ and children can make a paper craft pot of soup to take home. Storytime is held every Friday at 10:00 AM at the Sabina Public Library.

Tall Grass Reminder

This Thursday, September 3rd, Village staff will be going around Sabina and marking properties with tall grass and weeds that are in violation of our Village ordinance.

Under Ordinance No. 8-2026, grass, weeds, or vegetation exceeding 10 inches in height is considered a nuisance and may result in a Notice of Violation. Once notice is given, the property owner has 48 hours to correct the violation.

We encourage everyone to take a look around their property and get any tall grass or weeds taken care of before Tomorrow.

If you are unable to mow your property yourself or simply need some help, the Village has a list of individuals who are available to provide mowing services. Please contact the Municipal Building and we would be happy to provide you with that information.

Our goal isn’t to issue violations, it’s to keep Sabina looking nice, safe, and well cared for. Thank you to everyone who helps take pride in our community! 🌿🏡
