Peter & Bridget Scontras are the owners of the Way Way Store having reopened in 2011 after undertaking a renovation/restoration of the store. Way Way features penny candy, gently used canoes & kayaks, Gifford's Ice Cream, antique wood stoves, baskets, and nostalgic Way Way antiques. The Way Way Store is on the National Register of Historic Places. It

makes a perfect place for social events, birthday parties, after work meeting place, and family meetings/reunions. Gather, celebrate, and relax inside the store or outside on the patio beneath the canopy. The Way Way General Store, built between 1927-29, at 93 Buxton Road. Named for its remote location "way, way" out of town, the Way Way Store is an outstanding example of an early twentieth century general store and filling station.

Peter and his son, Nicky Scontras, pose before a background of empty shelves as we totally emptied the Way Way Store today with help from S**o Scoop’s own Gentleman Jim Colley and our compassionate helper, Kiely Callahan. Thanks to Friendly Dave Pendleton for pitching in with Affable Alex MacPhail and several others. Moments later we locked the door for the last time. Mixed feelings but we had a strong 15 year run that otherwise would not have happened. God bless you all!! It’s time to go home, Bridget🙏🙏🙏❤️
