Blue Heron Programs We are an employment training program dedicated to helping adults with developmental disabilities obtain employment.

Our founders Wyatt and Braydon are passionate about the people they serve and passionate about employment! They believe whole heartedly that it is one of the greatest paths to a life of purpose, self determination, and connection for those with developmental disabilities. Combined they have almost 10 years of experience managing programs for adults with developmental disabilities. They have spent

the last 3 years together managing together in Solano County, developing an employment training program with NBRC that has had incredible success (80% of participants employed). They are looking to transfer that same success over to ACRC.

Taste Testing Exotic Fruit 🥭

Roseville Gaggle got creative and put together their own scavenger hunt at Barnes & Noble with a “Find These 10 Things” challenge. Participants explored different sections of the store, searched for books with specific covers, checked out magazines, browsed puzzles and games, and even competed for a small prize for whoever finished first. Everyone had a fun time being curious, silly, and engaged while writing down their finds and sharing their favorites with the group. It was a great mix of movement, problem‑solving, social connection — and a simple way to turn a bookstore visit into an adventure.

Just a reminder that Blue Heron Programs will be closed on Friday, July 4th as we celebrate Independence Day.

Earlier this week, our participants got creative making patriotic wreaths and festive decorations using tissue paper and ribbon. We love creating opportunities to build creativity, confidence, and community through hands-on activities.

This week, Yolo Gaggle had the opportunity to put our new Blue Heron Programs office space to great use by coming together for a meaningful community service project! 💙
As a team, we created hygiene kits to donate to individuals in need and included handwritten words of encouragement and affirmation in each kit. ✨ Sometimes a small act of kindness can make a big difference, and we were proud to spread a little positivity throughout our community.
It was a great day of teamwork, compassion, and giving back. We are so grateful for the opportunity to make an impact together! 🤝💙
