We're excited to introduce the Act On Kindness Free Little Library at Freedom Park in North Highlands! 🎉
This little library is here for everyone in our community to enjoy. Whether you're looking for a new adventure, a bedtime story, inspiration, or simply a good book to read, stop by and take a look!
📖 How it works: ✨ Take a book. ✨ Share a book. ✨ Love a book.
There are no library cards, no due dates, and no fees—just a simple way to spread literacy, kindness, and community connection.
💡 Have books you'd like to share? Feel free to leave a few for others to enjoy! Donations are always appreciated but never required.
Together, we're building a stronger community one book at a time. 💕📚

📚🎒 Help Us Fill Backpacks & Brighten Futures! 🎒📚

Every child deserves to start the school year feeling confident, prepared, and excited to learn. Unfortunately, many local families struggle to afford the basic school supplies their children need to succeed.

Act On Kindness and our community partners are collecting new school supplies for students in need, and we need your help!

Our Giveaway on June 7th was awesome! So many came out to shop for free goodies, connect with community resources and the kids no doubt had a blast! 🥰

Thank you so much to all who volunteered, donated, supported, tabled, shared and came out. We are co-hosting a Back to School Bash next, so follow us and rsvp under Events on our page. 😍

Special thanks to SMUD for choosing us for the Shine Award! We were able to help 34 more families with Conservation Kits, LED Lightbulbs and Snake Plants. 🥳

Our Free Lil Library is back up at Freedom Park in North Highlands. Please spread the word and help us care for it by bringing your kids by, taking some books, and leaving some books. 😍

Thank you again to all who pitched in to have it rebuilt and donated books. We could not have done it without you. Special thanks to Bobbi & Todd with To Be Tie Dyed/ The Tie Dye People. You two are amazing!! ❤️

Please also help us keep an eye on it. As you may of heard, it was previously set on fire. It took alot to get it back up and running. Pm Tyrna Brown, Bobbi Xerri or Sara Weinreich if you see anything or would like to donate books.

It trully takes a village. 🥰 🙏

‼️ It's Giveaway Time!! ‼️
We need some help. This time around we have so many donations and really need help getting them to the event and help unloading them at the park. If you can help, please let me know. 🙏

This Giveaway will be big! In addition to the most donations we have ever had for our giveaway, we also have a lot of community resource vendors coming and our lovely facepainter. We will have lots of cool baskets & items to raffle as well :)

Bobbi Xerri with To Be Tie Dyed/ The Tie Dye People has her special going. "Bring your own cotton tshirt and dye it for only $3!" Please keep in mind that we encourage bringing not only new shirts, but even one that may have a stain or two. Dying them will give them a new life and keep them from our land fills. 😍

Last but not least we will have an additional 34 Conservation Kits to give away. First come, first serve. Must be a SMUD customer and consent to us contacting you to followup. 🪴💡💧

Oh... and the spray park comes on around 11 or 12ish, if the kids want to get wet.

We are excited to announce that we are doing a Shoe Drive! This fundraiser not only will help sustain our programs, is earth friendly, but also will help those in other countries as well.

If you have gently used or new shoes, in any size and style, please consider donating them to us for our fundraiser. 🙏

We will collecting shoes starting June 7th at our Giveaway at Freedom Park in North Highlands. I will put the flyer in the comments. If you have shoes and unable to make it, please reach out to Tyrna Brown to make arrangements for pu or drop off.

We aim to collect 2500 pairs of shoes, by August 7th. Thanks so much for your time and consideration. Please share this with family, friends, and co-workers. Together we can make a difference. 🥰
