Capitol People First, Inc. Advocating for people with developmental disabilities since 1981 Capitol People First, Inc. It is a self- and peer-advocacy organization. Current Projects:
1.

(CPF) is a non-profit organization that is run by, and for, people with developmental differences in Sacramento, California. We teach others to speak for themselves and lead more independent lives. We also teach people about disability awareness and are involved in community advocacy work. Several of our members are active on advisory groups, governing boards, and developmental service agencies. N

ext year Capitol People First will celebrate 30 years as a chapter!! We are planning a big bash for fall 2011!
2. We are reaching out to young advocates in high schools and transition programs.
3. We are in the process of creating ongoing relationships with local officials and politicians.
