California Capitol Connection will aid independent Baptists in becoming more informed regarding current state and federal legislation that has the potential to either positively or adversely affect their lives. ENGAGEMENT

We are dedicated to urging and empowering God’s people to get involved in civics for the purpose of preserving our liberties. California Capitol Connection will enabl

e pastors to reach out to our state leaders one-on-one with the truth of God’s Word, providing biblical counsel regarding the critical issues of our day as well as a Gospel witness. California Capitol Connection will be the eyes and ears in our state capitol for independent Baptist churches, keeping them up-to-date regarding proposed legislation. ENCOURAGE

California Capitol Connection will notify believers when they need to applaud their legislators for a vote in favor of biblically aligned legislation as well as alert them when they need to respectfully admonish their legislators for a vote that stands in opposition to biblical truth. We will challenge God’s people to intercede in daily prayer for our state and national leaders.

CA Christians get your ballots in by Tuesday, June 2. Your vote counts! California currently has 5.8 million registered Republicans, 10.4 million registered Democrats, and 6.2 million registered voters with no party preference. In the 2022 California Governor’s race, Gavin Newsom (D) received 6.4 million votes to Brian Dahle’s (R) 4 million votes.

In the current political climate, with many citizens unhappy with state government and no incumbent in the race, there is a greater opportunity to elect a Governor with a biblical worldview than in the recent past, if Christians will vote. There is no doubt that we need God’s Divine intervention, but the God of the Bible is still on the throne! Like Esther and Mordecai, we must do the little we can do and trust God to do the rest.

SR111 and HR111 should be opposed because it officially endorses gender ideology and elevates these views on sexuality as unquestionable truth. While all people deserve basic dignity, this resolution pressures Californians—especially those holding biblical values—to affirm beliefs that conflict with biblical truth biological reality, parental rights, women’s protections, and religious liberty. Instead of promoting true tolerance, SR 111 is used to marginalize dissent and advance a one-sided cultural agenda. We appreciate those who did not cave to the pressure to vote for these resolutions.
