I introduced this resolution to rein in California’s regulatory overreach and stop an EPA waiver allowing Sacramento to impose its commercial harbor craft emissions mandate.

I came to Congress to get things done for Californians. Today, we delivered.

Doug never stopped fighting for the people of Northern California, especially families trying to rebuild after devastating wildfires.

I’m proud to see the Doug LaMalfa Federal Disaster Tax Relief Certainty Act signed into law and his work carried forward. Disaster survivors shouldn’t get hit with a tax bill while they’re trying to put their lives back together.

The Doug LaMalfa Disaster Tax Relief Certainty Act is officially law.

Authored by late Congressional Western Caucus Chair Rep. Doug LaMalfa, this law ensures disaster survivors can focus on rebuilding their lives without being hit with an additional federal tax burden.

Doug cared deeply about protecting families devastated by wildfires and other disasters and making sure they could recover and be made whole. His legacy of fighting for rural communities and disaster survivors lives on.

This is exactly why Californians have lost faith in Sacramento’s ability to spend their money responsibly.

While families are struggling with the cost of living, California High-Speed Rail was improperly reimbursing consultants for hundreds of thousands of dollars in travel expenses.

Taxpayers deserve better.

Many of the questionable expenses were Uber rides to recreational spots.

Our firefighters and pilots have enough to worry about without having to dodge drones.

The bipartisan Drone Safety Statement Modernization Act I introduced with Congresswoman Dina Titus just passed the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Republicans, bringing us one step closer to making sure drone operators know the rules before they take off.

🎉 Big win for Siskiyou! 🎉

We’re excited to share that Siskiyou County received a grant from the Department of Transportation to support the rehabilitation of 5,250 feet of existing paved taxiway at the airport in W**d.

This funding completes the final phase of the project, including the rehabilitation of 2,650 feet of pavement.

This is a significant investment in our airport infrastructure and the future of Siskiyou County.

We’re grateful for the continued support and partnership that helps keep our communities connected and our local airport safe and reliable!

Seniors worked their entire lives and paid into Social Security. They deserve to keep more of what they earned.

I’m proud to support the tax relief Republicans delivered for America’s seniors, including a new $6,000 deduction for Americans 65 and older. In 2026, 90% of seniors had their tax liability on Social Security benefits completely offset by this relief.

That’s money back in the pockets of America’s seniors where it belongs.
