Tri-Valley High School hosted a mock DUI drill as part of its Prom preparation. While Driving Under the Influence, whether alcohol or other substances, is a year-round problem, we all become more aware during this time of the year.

The Fire Company urges everyone to make wise decisions. Do not get behind the wheel if you are under the influence. Remember, even lesser amounts affect your reactions. Don’t get into a vehicle if the driver is under the influence. Finally, don’t allow someone to drive if they are under the influence.

Participating in the drill was Hegins Valley Fire Rescue (who organized and coordinated the event), Pennsylvania State Police, Hegins Area Ambulance, Tremont Ambulance, Buffington-Reed, Life Lion, and the Sacramento Community Fire Company.

The Fire Company commends the School District for its ongoing efforts to promote school safety.

This is an exciting time of year for all students and their families, no matter what school they attend. We hope that everyone’s memories are happy ones.
