Friends of the Sacramento Public Library is a membership-supported, non-profit organization that advocates, fund-raises, and provides critical support for the Sacramento Public Library, branch libraries, the Bookmobile, including those in the City and County of Sacramento, and the Cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Galt, Isleton, and Rancho Cordova. The Friends’ fundraising and volunteer efforts

allow the library to continue to provide rich programming opportunities focusing on literacy and education and keep fresh material on the shelves at local libraries. There is a Branch Friends Group at each of the 28 branch libraries of Sacramento Public Library as well as the Bookmobile Friends. Together the Friends operate the Book Den and Warehouse at 8250 Belvedere Ave., Suite E, Sacramento

We invite you to invest in the success of the library by volunteering time, donating books, and helping us raise funds for library programs, equipment, books, and materials.

On July 18, the second “Reading the Delta” excursion took us to LOCKE, the Isleton branch of the Sacramento Public Library, the Elk Grove branch and the Isleton History Museum. In Locke we commemorated the unveiling of historical marker in front of the school house.Join the Friends of the Library and participate in our cultural events.
