Quick Reads
Saturday, July 11
11:30am - 12:30pm
Quick Reads are books of less than 250 pages. Join us each month on the second Saturday at 11:30 a.m. for lively discussions about diverse titles, authors, topics, and content.
This month, we will be reading and discussing Accordion Eulogies: A Memoir of Music, Migration, and Mexico by Noe Alvarez. Copies are available at the McKinley Library service desk during library hours or through the library catalog. New participants are always welcome!

Bad Art Night
Friday July 10 4:00 - 5:30
Join us for Bad Art Night! Enjoy our relaxed, judgment-free creative gathering space where supplies are provided or you can bring your own project. Come make something wonderfully imperfect! This program is designed for adults, but younger participants can use materials with adult supervision. No registration required.

This week's emphasis will be on watercolor painting on paper. There will be supplies for other projects available, as well.

Art supplies provided by the generosity of the Friends of McKinley Library. You can support the Friends and library programs here.

2026 Big Day of Giving Results

Of 910 participating nonprofits, Friends of the Sacramento Public Library (FSPL) ranked 10th in number of donations (463) and 20th in amount raised ($118,142) on the Big Day of Giving. In addition, FSPL won $500 for having the most unique donors during the midnight to 12:59 a.m. hour. Thank you, Friends, for your generous support.
