It was great having some of the crew from Herald Fire Protection District stop by the communications center to spend some time with our dispatchers.

A special thank you to Firefighter Roman, Firefighter Daniel, Firefighter Alejandro, Firefighter Domonic, and Firefighter Tyler for taking the time to visit. Opportunities to connect outside of emergency calls help build the relationships that make a difference when we’re working together to serve our communities.

We’re also especially proud of Roman, who recently became a Herald firefighter. Roman is the son of one of our former administrative team members, making this visit even more meaningful. It’s always great to see the next generation carrying on a commitment to public service.

Thank you again to the Herald Fire crew for stopping by. We appreciate the visit and look forward to continuing to work alongside you.

🎉 A warm welcome and a shared meal.

Yesterday, B Days officially welcomed Chief Wilbourn to the Sacramento Regional Fire/EMS Communications Center while enjoying homemade enchiladas prepared by Julia and Eric.

Supporting our dispatchers is a priority. Every day, they answer difficult calls, coordinate emergency resources, and serve as the critical link between our community and first responders.

Chief Wilbourn, welcome to SRFECC! We look forward to serving Sacramento County together.

💬 Help us welcome Chief Wilbourn in the comments! While you’re there, tell us your favorite comfort food or potluck dish. Who knows… it might inspire our next shift meal!

Our July Service Spotlight is Dispatcher Jennifer O!

Jennifer has been with the center for 3 years. When she is not handling emergency calls, her favorite thing to do is travel!

In Jennifer’s own words: "Since every call is different, my day is never boring — I get to make a difference and help the community in a way I am good at.

Although our work can be demanding and stressful, my coworkers are what make every day worthwhile. Through teamwork, humor, and support, we're able to find joy and make even the busiest, most chaotic days enjoyable."

Thank you, Jennifer, for all that you do!
