📣 2026 Matching Grant Program applications are due June 30!

This year, the California State Grange will award $200,000 in matching grant funding to help Granges improve their halls, strengthen local programs, and better serve their communities.

Funding includes:
• $100,000 for large capital improvement projects over $5,000, with matches up to $20,000
• $100,000 for smaller building projects and program proposals of $5,000 or less, with matches up to $5,000

Since the program began in 2021, more than $183,000 has been awarded to 37 individual Granges for projects ranging from upgraded signage and increased community visibility to preserving the oldest Grange Hall in the United States. Altogether, these projects have created an economic impact of nearly $1 million.

Application information and materials are available on the CSG website. You can also watch the Q&A video for more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQuKjJhNBTk

June is Dairy Month, and California has plenty to celebrate. 🐄🥛

California produced more than 40.9 billion pounds of milk in 2025, with a milk production value of more than $8.3 billion. And when it comes to dairy powerhouses, Tulare County is hard to beat. In 2024, milk remained Tulare County’s leading agricultural commodity with a gross value of more than $2.26 billion.

Fun fact: Tulare County dairies produced more than 10.5 billion pounds of milk in 2024, and in May 2024 alone, Tulare marketed more milk than any other county in the country. Sonoma County has its own impressive dairy story too, with 42 organic dairies representing more than 40% of California’s organic dairies and producing 13% of the nation’s organic milk.

This Dairy Month, we’re raising a glass to California’s dairy families, Grange members, and agricultural communities who keep this essential industry moving forward. 🐄🥛

Granges build community in all kinds of ways.

At Dow's Prairie Grange 505 in McKinleyville, that means game night. Dungeons & Dragons, tabletop roleplaying games, board games, card games, raffles, dinner, and a room full of people spending time together.

That is the value of a Grange hall. It gives a community a place to show up, bring the family, meet friends, and make new ones.

We love seeing Granges across California keep their halls active, useful, and welcoming.

Nice work, Dow’s Prairie Grange #505. Follow California State Grange to learn more about the Grange community.

On this Flag Day 🇺🇸, we honor the American flag as a symbol of unity, service, sacrifice, and the enduring promise of our nation.

For generations, Granges across America have proudly displayed the flag in our halls, carried it in parades, and gathered beneath it as neighbors committed to strengthening our communities and our country. As we look toward America’s 250th anniversary, Flag Day reminds us that patriotism is not just something we celebrate — it is something we live through service, civic involvement, and care for one another.

Today, we proudly fly Old Glory and reflect on the values that continue to bind rural and small-town America together.

Convention is more than a meeting, it is a chance to connect, serve, and grow alongside Grangers from across California.

At the 151st Annual California State Grange Convention, members can meet fellow Grangers, join important conversations, serve on committees, learn more about the work happening across our state, and help shape the future of the California State Grange.

Whether you are a longtime member or attending for the first time, convention is a meaningful way to get involved, build relationships, and bring new ideas back to your local Grange.
