This Friday we honor Juneteenth—a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality and justice for all.
Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It serves as both a celebration of liberation and a reminder of the work that continues to build more equitable and inclusive communities.
At Community Resource Project, we believe strong communities are built when every individual is valued, respected, and given the opportunity to thrive. As we reflect on the significance of this day, we encourage everyone to take time to learn, listen, celebrate, and honor the rich history and contributions of Black Americans.
In observance of Juneteenth, CRP offices will be closed on Friday, June 19. Regular business hours will resume on Monday June 22, 2026.
Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Juneteenth.
