๐ฌ๐ข๐จ ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ง: A pair of fugitive Romanian nationals were nabbed by Saddle Brook police.
Their rented 2020 Lincoln SUV was stopped near the Marriott shortly before 11:30 a.m. yesterday (Thurs., June 4th), Saddle Brook Police Chief John Zotollo Jr. told Independent Online News.
Both the driver, Sena Miclescu, 29, and passenger Edera Miclescu, 27, โprovided fraudulent driverโs licenses appearing to originate overseas," the chief said.
Edera Miclescu, of Baltimore, MD, was also carrying counterfeit jewelry, law enforcement sources confirmed.
She and Sena Miclescu, of Newburgh, NY, are believed to belong to one of a number of organized traveling theft rings originating from Romania, the sources said.
(They shouldn't be confused with a different ethnic group, the Roma -- or Romani -- who have offensively been called "gypsies.")
Sena Miclescu was wanted on full-extradition fugitive warrants out of Vegas, Oakland, CA and Alameda County, CA, Zotollo said.
Edera was wanted on a full-extradition fugitive warrant out of Las Vegas, the chief said.
Saddle Brook police charged them with exhibiting false government IDs and hindering their arrests. Edera also was charged with using a counterfeit trademark.
Both were also subsequently charged today with being fugitives from justice.
Theyโll remain held in Bergen Countyโs jail until they can be extradited.
