Saddle River Fire Department The SRFD is a 100% volunteer organization that provides fire protection and rescue services.

The Saddle River Fire Department is a volunteer organization which provides emergency services for fire and rescue emergencies. Members of the department are trained in a variety of certifications including firefighter I-III, rescue technician, emergency medical technician, first responder, hazardous materials, incident command structure, and many more. The department has 6 pieces of apparatus, Engine 1131, Ladder 1141, Rescue 1142, Tanker 1134, Pumper 1133, Utility 1151.

SRFD concluded several days of Trench Rescue Technician training with , further enhancing the department’s technical rescue capabilities. Members engaged in comprehensive instruction covering soil assessment, shoring operations, collapse hazards, and scenario‑based problem solving to strengthen operational readiness and ensure a high level of proficiency across the team.
