Did you ever stop to think what would happen if no one volunteered to put out fires or respond to medical emergencies in your community. The toll in lives and property would be unfathomable. Over 70% of the fire departments in the United States are manned by all-volunteer firefighters. This includes your community, and many close by. Volunteer firefighters are this nation's first line of defense, and sometimes, your community's only line of defense in many types of emergencies. As a volunteer firefighter you can serve your community, protect yours and your neighbors property and save lives.

Fires don't wait. Neither should you. Become a volunteer firefighter today. There is a job for EVERYONE!! Your community of Sadorus could use a few more on its roster. We meet the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm, and the third Thursday of the month at 6:30pm. Come check it out and help your community today!

On Thursday Sadorus and Ivesdale fire departments were dispatched to a working house fire on River road. We ask for prayers for the family that lost a lot. We also want to thank the surrounding fire departments for their help....

Sadorus fire officials were on the scene of a fire Thursday afternoon in the 500 block of West River Road. The Sadorus fire chief tells us it started from an electrical panel.
