The City of Safford is seeking talented finance professionals to join our team in two key positions:

🔹 Finance Officer – Lead the City’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, investments, debt management, financial reporting, procurement, and capital improvement planning. This position also provides leadership and oversight of financial staff and operations while helping guide the City’s financial future.
🔹 Deputy Finance Officer – Support the City’s financial operations, budgeting, and long-range planning efforts while working closely with the Finance Officer. Responsibilities include assisting with the annual budget process, financial reporting, audits, grants, billing operations, and fiscal management activities.

🇺🇸 Labor Day Closure & Trash Schedule 🇺🇸

City of Safford offices will be CLOSED Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

🗑️ Residential Trash Schedule:
• Monday routes ➡️ Tuesday, September 8th
• Tuesday routes ➡️ Wednesday, September 9th
• All other residential routes will remain on their normal schedule.
• Commercial collection schedules may vary.

🚧 The City of Safford Landfill will also be CLOSED Monday, September 7.
