2 Days Until Ferndale Pride! First up for the Southeast Michigan 2026 Pride season.

Even before the first pride, LGBTQ+ communities of color have been fighting for equal access to healthcare, housing, and essential rights. What started as a riot has continued on to advocate for equitable access and positive futures for LGBTQ+ people across the country and across the world.

In collaboration with the young people we serve, we honor Pride by uplifting equity, safety, and prevention through a harm-reductive view. The struggle for LGBTQ+ people of color to be sexually liberated also comes with increased prevention methods to meet the unique needs of our communities.

Our campaign honors Black LGBTQ+ liberation, freedom to protect our bodies, HIV prevention, and the resilience of young people across Detroit.

📍 Find us at Pride events across Metro Detroit this summer!

The Hearth Home HIV/AIDS Task Force is officially returning to help strengthen collaboration around HIV prevention, education, linkage to care, advocacy, and stigma reduction across Mid-Michigan. ❤️

We are excited to bring together healthcare providers, community organizations, advocates, and community members who are passionate about improving HIV awareness, prevention, and support services in our region.

🗓 Meetings will take place on the second Wednesday of each month from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM in a hybrid format. While in-person participation is encouraged to help foster stronger community connections and collaboration, virtual participation options will be made available whenever possible for those unable to attend in person.

Whether you work in healthcare, public health, behavioral health, outreach, education, advocacy — or simply care about supporting a healthier community — we welcome your involvement.

If you are interested in participating or learning more about the task force, please reach out to us directly. Additional meeting details and upcoming dates will be announced soon.

The Hearth Home Program is excited to announce the relaunch of the HIV/AIDS Task Force, a community-focused coalition dedicated to strengthening HIV prevention, education, awareness, stigma reduction, and linkage-to-care efforts throughout Mid-Michigan.

We are currently looking to reconnect with healthcare professionals, community organizations, advocates, educators, and community members who are passionate about improving HIV awareness and supporting a stronger, more collaborative community response.

If you are interested in being part of the HIV/AIDS Task Force, we encourage you to reach out to us for additional information. Meeting details and future planning discussions will be shared with interested participants as the task force begins to reconvene.

Together, we can continue building a healthier, more informed, and stigma-free community.
