MBS International Airport will be conducting its Annual Live Burn Aircraft Response Training on 5/7/26. During this time, you may see smoke or flames, as well as emergency vehicles with flashing lights and sirens. Please do not be alarmed — this is a scheduled training exercise. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to maintain the highest level of safety and emergency preparedness.

🚨🚨PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT🚨🚨

With the cold weather, concerns about frozen pipes are understandable. We want to remind everyone that using space heaters—especially in basements or crawl spaces—is dangerous if they are not continuously monitored.

Today, we have seen an increase in structure fires directly caused by space heaters being used to keep pipes from freezing. Please explore safer alternatives to protect your home and family.

🌬️Hazardous Weather Outlook🌬️

High wind warning tonight through early Monday evening for wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph. Power outages expected.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms through this evening.

Rapidly falling temperatures Monday morning may lead to flash freezing of any water on paved surfaces. There is the potential for snow squalls on Monday. Total snow accumulations are expected to be two inches or less.

Be proactive by allowing plenty of extra time going to or from destinations, use extreme caution while travelling, and watch for ice/black ice whether driving or out on foot.

Update @ 11:59am - NB I-75 is reopened between the 144-149 MM

⚠️ NB I-75 is closed at 144MM for Bridgeport between 144-149 due to a multi-vehicle accident. Traffic is being diverted onto Dixie Hwy. (Delayed)en

Accidents are also starting to come in for I-675 due to icy road conditions. Please avoid highway travelling if possible and seek alternate routes. If the highway must be taken, please slow speeds and use extreme caution.

Update @ 11:06am - NB I-75 and SB I-75 at the Zilwaukee bridge has reopened.

***Update*** Both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-75 is completely shut down at the Zilwaukee Bridge until further notice. SB traffic is being diverted off onto I-675 and NB traffic is being diverted off at M-13. Please avoid the area.

There are several reports of accidents coming in on I-75. Both northbound and southbound at the Zilwaukee Bridge is extremely icy. Please drive with caution, avoid the area and seek an alternate if possible. the
