WOW, we had a great July with volunteers at URR! Beyond all the AMAZING work that's been done at the Resale Store the past month, we got some help with weeding at our Safety & Resource Center from an awesome group of middle-school students - all the way from Muskegon (they also brought and helped put away donations!). You can check out the work they did on slide 2 😍🌿

Also, make sure you don't miss our Volunteer Spotlight of Lori on slide 3 - not only is she one of our regulars who helps keep our storage room looking neat, she brings up a great point about how important it is that we have kennels and are able to have survivors' pets come along with them to shelter! 🐶🐱 Knowing their pets can join them and be safe can make a world of difference in the lives and journeys of many survivors. 💜

Our friends at the Saginaw Community Food Club and Kitchen are hosting an opening house tonight Wednesday, July 22nd from 5:30 - 7:30! Head on over to see the facility and get information on membership and how the club will work! The work the food club will be a huge benefit to so many in our community and we cannot wait for it to be open!

Our Community Open House takes place THIS week! Join us on Wednesday, July 22 for a chance to tour the facility and ask questions about how your family can benefit from the Food Club. We can't wait to see you there!

Leaving an abusive relationship doesn't end the abuse, especially when there are children involved. This is why programs like our SafePlace program, that offer supervised visitation and exchanges, are so important for victims of abuse who have children with their abuser.
