Join us in celebrating some well-deserved recognition within the Buena Vista Police Department!

Chief Williams and the Buena Vista Police Department recently honored Officer Stacer and Officer Carmona with Unit Life Saving Awards for their quick response, dedication, and commitment to preserving life when it mattered most.

In addition, Administrative Assistant Tammy Davis, Sgt. Tonya Norris, and Officer Sara Yant were presented with a Meritorious Unit Citation in recognition of their teamwork, professionalism, and outstanding service to the Buena Vista community.

We are grateful for their continued dedication and the hard work they put in every day to keep our community safe. Please help us congratulate and celebrate these outstanding members of our department!

The following pages identify firearm(s) confiscated by the Buena Vista Township Police Department pursuant to MCL 28.434 and MCL 750.239. If you are claiming ownership of any firearm(s) listed, please notify Officer Yant within thirty (30) days of the date of public notice.
You must show proof of ownership (and have valid registration if handgun). In addition to your ownership claim, you must be authorized to possess fi****ms. If no valid ownership claim is received by the Buena Vista Township Police Department by 5:00pm, Saturday, April 25th, 2026, the fi****ms listed will be disposed of.

Due to a call to 911 BVPD was able to recover approximately $150,000 worth of stolen items to various owners. A great collaborative effort with Mike's Wrecker Service assisted with these recoveries. It was great to be able to help out the victims of these crimes.
