Memorial day is popularly known for picnics and camping, but we want to take a second to appreciate its real importance. Lets take a moment to appreciate the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country's freedoms. It is thanks to those men and women, we are able to enjoy this beautiful state and our freedoms.

Our invasive snail bounty program has officially started this Memorial Day weekend! For every 18 snails you collect, bring them to the visitor center, drop them off in the collection box and choose an ice-cream treat out of our snail bounty selection as a reward! Bring your friends and family out to compete for the top record on our leader board for bragging rights!

Last week Hayden Charter School's 1st graders visited Round Lake to help plant over 150 trees! Rangers taught students how to plant and take care of seedlings, and even showed off some animal furs after. These students have helped plant trees that will aid in keeping our beautiful park forested for future generations to come. Thank you to for providing trees for these students to plant.

FOUND DOG AT ROUND LAKE STATE PARK: If you recognize this sweet boy we have him here safe and sound at the park. Please call the park if you recognize this lab/ basset mix. As much as we would love to have another mascot here at Round Lake State Park, we unfortunately can not replace Scout.

As a reminder, all pets must be on a leash at all times while visiting Round Lake State Park.
