***Closure August 10-22, 2026***

We will have two new park operated backcountry cabins that will be installed on the western park boundary in the coming weeks, however a temporary trail closure will be necessary to facilitate the installation of them. Please plan accordingly.

We do not have an anticipated opening date for these rentals but will update as soon as we can!

Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are now in effect here at Round Lake State Park. No building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire or stove fire. This includes no use of propane fire pits, pellet stoves, and charcoal briquets. You may use stove fire fueled soley by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels for cooking food. Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our parks safe and fire free during this time.

Meet us at the visitor center, the class will begin at 7pm. We look forward to seeing all of you!

We are holding another Bat Program tomorrow, Saturday, August 1st at 7:30pm. The program will meet at the amphitheater and begin with a short presentation about bats. After the presentation, we'll take a short hike to the docks and use an echo-meter device to detect and identify local bats flying around the lake. All ages welcome.
