Sahuarita Unified School District in once again participating in Legendary Teacher Day! Anyone interested can honor a teacher they consider legendary with a tribute! Both current and retired teachers are available for recognition!

The tribute process is simple! Open the link below and write a letter of recognition to your teaching legend from your perspective. The window for submitting tributes will be from September 1st, 2026, to September 30, 2026.

With help from its sponsors, the Legendary Teacher organization will be awarding cash and gifts worth a combined $30,000 to teachers across Pima County.

On behalf of the Santa Rita Fire District and the Sahuarita Police Department, Sahuarita Unified School District invites you to attend our 9/11 25th Anniversary Tribute.

The event will take place during the pregame and halftime show of the Sahuarita High School football game on September 11th. The start time is 6:50 PM and the game will take place at Earl J. Kelly Stadium at Sahuarita High School.

First responders, veterans, and their family will not have to pay for a ticket to enter.

📣 Alumni Spotlight

2018 Sahuarita High School graduate and CTE Construction alum Christian Carabeo recently served on the Alumni Panel at the JTED Foundation Transformation event.

After SHS, Christian earned his degree in architecture from the University of Arizona and is now an Assistant Superintendent with CORE Construction. He joined fellow CTE alumni to share what he has learned about entering the industry, developing new talent, and the skills that matter in the workplace.

We’re proud to see Christian representing SHS and sharing where his CTE experience has taken him.

Bond Update: The libraries at Sahuarita High School and Walden Grove High School were renovated over the summer break. Our students now have a library with new furniture, new layouts, and a new look! Thank you to our community for giving us the means of renovating these crucial spaces for our students!

Mary Dailey, a teacher of thirty years, has been teaching elementary students at Anza Trail the basics of a volleyball serve. The students had a lot of fun serving the ball to each other, teaching them valuable lessons about cooperation, respect, and staying active! 🏐

This week schools across the district were visited by Timmy the Dreamer! Timmy is a motivational speaker who has created his own social impact movement focused on helping students find success and happiness. He spoke to our students, encouraging them to be kind, to build meaningful relationships in their community, and to pursue their dreams for this school year and beyond!
