Congratulations to PowerPhotonic on being named Manufacturer of the Year at the Arizona Technology Council’s 2026 Southern Arizona Tech and Business Expo!

We are proud to have PowerPhotonic as part of Sahuarita's growing advanced manufacturing and technology community. Their work in optics and optical assemblies is a great example of the type of innovative manufacturing taking place right here in our town.

Members of the Town of Sahuarita Economic Development team had the opportunity to join PowerPhotonic last night to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations to the entire PowerPhotonic team! We look forward to seeing your continued growth and success here in Sahuarita.

And we’re off to a great start with our DreamBuilder cohort!

Tonight, 23 small business owners and entrepreneurs joined us at Sahuarita Town Hall, bringing plenty of enthusiasm and a desire to learn, connect, and grow their businesses.

Over the next six weeks, the Grow in Sahuarita program, in collaboration with the PCC Small Business Development Center will be hosting this cohort to help participants gain the knowledge, tools, and guidance needed to start or grow their businesses.

It’s always encouraging to see local entrepreneurs investing time in their businesses, learning new skills, and making connections with others who share similar goals.

We’re looking forward to working with this group and seeing the progress they make over the next six weeks!

Running a brick-and-mortar business comes with a different kind of pressure.

There’s the lease, utilities, employees, inventory, hours of operation, customer service, marketing, and the day-to-day responsibility of keeping the doors open. Some days are focused on growth. Other days are focused on simply managing everything that needs to get done.

That’s exactly why the Grow in Sahuarita program is available.

Grow in Sahuarita provides no-cost business guidance, coaching, and resources for business owners operating in Sahuarita. Whether you own a restaurant, retail shop, service-based business, office, studio, or other storefront business, this program helps you think through challenges and identify practical next steps.

That may include conversations about marketing, customer outreach, operations, staffing, business planning, local resources, or ways to improve how your business shows up in the community.

You do not need to wait until something becomes a problem to reach out. Sometimes support starts with a simple conversation about what is working, what is not, and where you want the business to go next.

If you are operating a brick-and-mortar business in Sahuarita, Grow in Sahuarita is here as a resource.
