Check out this fire levy fact sheet. This levy is NOT a new tax and is the reason St. Albans has one of the best fire departments in the state!

Please vote YES once again to support the St. Albans Fire Levy! This levy accounts for 1/3 of the fire departments’ budget, IS NOT a new levy, and WILL NOT raise your taxes! This levy has been in place since the 1950’s and is responsible for your decreased homeowners insurance inside city limits. This levy is also the reason our avg response time is TWO minutes, our fire department is staffed with highly trained/professional staff 24/7 with an ISO 2 rating resulting in even lower insurance premiums and the reason so many lives and homes are saved inside city limits!
