We’re almost there, Maple Run!

School starts soon, and we are SO excited to welcome everyone back for a brand-new school year!

Here are the important dates to have on your calendar:

• Thursday, August 20 – August 25 – Staff Inservice Days
• Wednesday, August 26 – First Day of School for Kindergarten–Grade 9
• Thursday, August 27 – First Day of School for Grades 10–12
• Monday, August 31 – First Day for PreK Students

We can’t wait to see our students, staff, families, and community members back in our schools.

Popsicles, playground time, and lots of smiles at St. Albans Town Educational Center yesterday!

It was so nice to see new SATEC families and returning families spending the afternoon together chatting, climbing, laughing, enjoying popsicles, and getting excited for the start of a new school year.

What a fun first day for our new educators at St Albans City School!

Today, our new SACS educators got to know the community they’ll be serving with a bus tour around the City of Saint Albans, ending with a very sweet stop at Mad ice cream.

A big thank-you to Karen Barchowski, co-owner of Mad ice cream, for opening the shop on a day they’re normally closed just for our Maple Run family.

The ice cream was delicious, and the warm welcome meant so much!

Fairfield Center School is looking for three paraeducators to join our school community before the new school year begins!

No prior experience is necessary. We’ll provide the training and support you need to be successful in the role. What we’re really looking for is someone who enjoys working with students, wants to be part of a caring school community, and is ready to make a difference each day.

What a great afternoon at Fairfield Center School!

We had a wonderful turnout for our first Popsicles on the Playground with Principal Malboeuf. It was so nice to see returning families, meet some new families, and spend a little time together on the playground before school starts.

Missed us yesterday? Come join us next Friday, August 14 at 3:00 p.m. We’ll be back on the playground with popsicles, playtime, and a chance to connect before the new school year begins.

Our community partner, Captain Veggie Man from vermontorganics.com, will be at From Scratch tomorrow from 1-2 p.m. with corn, cabbage, cantaloupe, cucumbers, peppers, and more.

School starts soon!

We hope everyone in our Maple Run community has been having a wonderful summer and plenty of time to slow down, have some fun, and enjoy.

Our schools are getting ready, and we can’t wait to welcome our staff and students back. There’s just something special about seeing our buildings come alive again with familiar faces, busy hallways, lots of laughter, and the excitement of a new school year.
