Albans is a wonderful community that is nestled in the valley between our Green Mountains and Lake Champlain here in Franklin County. We have a rich history that we are very proud of -- from the St. Stop by for a visit and check out our beautiful park, unique shops, historical churches and wonderful restaurants as well as a beautiful Museum. Albans is full of friendly people that are always willing to steer you in the right direction.

CHAMPIONSHIP PROCESSION NOTICE
The Bellows Free Academy - St. Albans, VT Softball Comets have won the D-1 Championship! There will be a procession of horns and sirens along Main Street and other streets, estimated between 9 and 10 pm, depending on how long it takes to get back from Castleton.

The Bellows Free Academy - St. Albans, VT Softball Comets are in Castleton getting ready for the Vermont State Division 1 Softball Championship Game against the Colchester Lakers at 4:30 pm.

Residents may hear a ruckus of horns and sirens proceeding through the City late tonight! (Based on how long it takes to get back from Castleton.)

Downtown Saint Albans, City of St. Albans & Saint Albans Museum invite all ages to attend the CENTENNIALS Picnic in Park on Sunday, July 5th from 11 am - 2 pm in Taylor Park. Bring the whole family!

2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

This independence day we celebrate the semi-quincentennial of our country with a local theme - Saint Albans history in the centennial years 1876 & 1976. Let’s come together this independence day weekend to celebrate 2026 as another important mile marker on the timeline of American history.

LIVE MUSIC WITH OWL STARS | CENTENNIALS CUPCAKES | MAKE & TAKE CRAFTS | FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS!

Details:

Bring your own picnic blanket & picnic lunch.

There will not be food on site, but participating downtown businesses will offer discount lunches.

Please do not smoke in the park.

The live band will play in the Gazebo.

The rain location is Saint Albans City Hall Auditorium. Bring your picnic blanket & lunch rain or shine.

This free event is possible with generous support from Vermont Arts Council, Saint Albans for the Future, The City of Saint Albans, and Saint Albans Museum.
