Yesterday evening at approximately 6:20 PM, West Side VFD responded to a structure fire in the area of Cousins Dr off of Strawberry Rd. Engine 226 was first on scene & encountered heavy fire conditions & exposure issues. Crews stretched 2, 1 3/4 inch attack lines for fire suppression & exposure protection. After Tanker 223’s arrival, crews used the deck gun to provide heavier fire suppression. With this area being non-hydranted, there was tanker operations being performed during the entire duration of the fire. There was no injuries.
