VOICE OF THE ELECTION | To ensure that every voter has an equal opportunity to participate in the democratic process regardless of their abilities, the St. Louis County Election Board voice records the ballot for every election. The pre-recorded audio ballots can be played on demand on our accessible voting system. These devices can read aloud the content of the ballot through headphones to ensure privacy and clarity for the voter. For the August 6 Primary, our interns will be the voice of the election. This process took two and a half hours to complete!

Safely storing voting equipment is one of our top priorities. Ballots, machines, and data are all stored behind secured doors and fences that must be unlocked together by Republican and Democratic election officials. That space in our warehouse is getting an upgrade! A 950 square foot addition to our existing 6,300 square feet of storage in preparation for 2024. #elections #trustedinfo2023
