******************SIDEWALK SAFETY REMINDERS******************

Please follow the rules pertaining to operation of motorized vehicles and bikes on the sidewalks.

City Codes:
77.05 UNLAWFUL OPERATION. A person shall not drive or operate a golf cart: In or on any park, playground, sidewalk, or upon any publicly owned property except with the permission of the governing body thereof.
62.03 VEHICLES ON SIDEWALKS. The driver of a vehicle shall not drive upon or within any sidewalk area except at a driveway. (See also Section 136.21.)
76.08 RIDING ON SIDEWALKS. The following provisions apply to riding bicycles on sidewalks:
1. Business District. No person shall ride a bicycle upon a sidewalk within the Business District, as defined in Section 60.02(1) of this Code of Ordinances.

When dumping at the NATURAL WASTE dump please only put grass clippings and garden waste in the new compost pile. Do not add the finished compost pile. All trees and branches go in the tree pile. NO LUMBER OR OTHER GARBAGE IS ALLOWED IN THIS AREA.

Natural Materials and Compost Dump area will be closed until further notice due to the wet conditions. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. This area will be open again as soon as conditions improve. Thanks for your understanding.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF ST ANSGAR
THE CITY WILL EXERCISE VALVES AND WATER MAINS WILL BE FLUSHED
Starting today June 22, 2026, until completed. Should be done by the end of the week if all goes well.
Flushing may cause some rust-colored flakes to enter the service lines. As a result, slight discoloration of water may occur. The water is NOT harmful to health; but it could discolor light colored laundry. It is therefore recommended that residents refrain from washing light colors on these days!
