🌊 Another round of nor'easter conditions is expected to impact St. Johns County this weekend and into early next week. US National Weather Service Jacksonville Florida is forecasting strengthening onshore winds beginning Saturday, bringing several coastal hazards.

💨 Gusty Winds - Coastal wind gusts of 30–40 mph possible.

🌊 Dangerous Beach Conditions - High risk of rip currents and rough, high surf. Stay out of the ocean!

🏖️ Beach Erosion - Beach erosion is possible, especially during high tide.

💧 Coastal Flooding - Minor tidal flooding is possible along the Atlantic coast, Intracoastal Waterway, and portions of the St. Johns River Basin. Low-lying areas may experience flooding around high tide.

⛵ Hazardous Boating Conditions - A Gale Watch is in effect for Atlantic coastal waters Saturday through Monday.

🌧️ More Rain Today, Severe Weather Possible Saturday⛈️

St. Johns County isn't quite done with this stretch of wet weather! National Weather Service Jacksonville is forecasting additional rainfall today, followed by the potential for isolated severe thunderstorms on Saturday.

🌧️ Flood Watch Through Tonight

* An additional 1–3 inches of rain is possible across Northeast Florida, with locally higher amounts.
* Already saturated ground increases the potential for localized flooding, especially in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

⛈️ Severe Weather Possible Saturday

* Isolated thunderstorms could become severe Saturday, particularly during the afternoon and evening.
* Strong wind gusts up to 60 mph and a brief tornado are possible with stronger storms.
* Localized flash flooding remains a concern due to recent rainfall.

⚠️ **What You Should Do:**

* Stay weather-aware today and Saturday, especially if you have outdoor plans.
* Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings.

A Flood Watch is in effect through late tonight for St. Johns County.
An additional 1-3" of rain is forecast on already saturated grounds. The heavy rainfall may combine with higher than normal tidal levels and may worsen flood problems in some Atlantic Coastal and St. Johns River locations.

🌧️ MORE RAIN + STORMS POSSIBLE

St. Johns County isn’t quite done with the rain yet.
Moisture associated with Hurricane Isaias in the Gulf, along with a warm front moving through Florida, will bring additional periods of heavy rain Friday and Saturday. With the rain we’ve already received this week, localized flooding will remain possible.

⛈️ Saturday: Conditions will become more favorable for strong to isolated severe thunderstorms.

🌊 Coastal concerns continue: Rough surf, dangerous rip currents and beach erosion will continue, while tidal flooding along the St. Johns River may linger through the weekend.

Several rounds of heavy rain have fallen and left parts of St. Johns County saturated, additional rainfall could lead to flooding, especially in low-lying and poor-drainage areas. Higher tides may also make it harder for water to drain.

🌧️ MORE RAIN & GUSTY WINDS AHEAD

After yesterday’s rain, St. Johns County could see another 3–4 inches through Friday morning, with locally higher amounts possible. Heavy rain may lead to localized flooding, especially in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

💨 Northeast winds will increase today and Wednesday, with gusts around 25–35 mph, strongest near the coast.

🌊 Coastal areas will also see rough surf, dangerous rip currents and beach erosion, with breaking waves building to 5–8 feet.

⚠️ More rain is coming on top of already wet conditions. Watch for flooded roads, secure loose outdoor items and use extra caution near the beach.

🌧️ Heavy rain and coastal impacts are expected in St. Johns County this week.

Rainfall totals of 2–5 inches, with locally higher amounts possible, may cause localized flooding, especially in low-lying and poor-drainage areas.

Tuesday through Thursday, higher tides combined with heavy rain could worsen flooding along the Atlantic coast, Intracoastal Waterway and St. Johns River.

🌊 Coastal conditions will also become dangerous, with high surf, a high risk of rip currents and beach erosion expected. Wind gusts of 35–45 mph are possible Tuesday and Wednesday.

✅ If you live or work in a flood-prone area, consider moving vehicles and other belongings to higher ground before conditions worsen.
