This past Saturday morning marked an historic milestone for FSDB and Troupe 11048. Arabella became the very first FSDB Student Representative to attend the District 2 Thespian meeting, making history for our school and ensuring our student voices are directly represented in the theater community.
During the event, Thespian directors and student leaders from across North Florida gathered to map out the upcoming year. Together, they reviewed competition rules and collaborated on crucial updates to the district bylaws.
It wasn't all business, though! The students broke off into a special session to connect, build community, and play theatre improv games. During this breakout, student representatives brainstormed and pitched creative themes for this year’s District Festival.
The students narrowed down the ideas to the top three choices and presented them to the adults for a final joint vote. We are thrilled to announce that the official winning theme for this year's festival is: "Sing Us Home" (Hadestown)!
We are incredibly proud of Arabella for her historic leadership, her commitment to the arts, and for representing the spirit of FSDB so beautifully.
