May is Foster Parent Appreciation Month 💙

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Board of County Commissioners for recognizing the incredible dedication of our foster families. At the May 5 BCC Meeting, Commissioner Sarah Arnold presented a proclamation officially designifying May 2026 as Foster Parent Appreciation Month.

Foster parents and staff from St. Johns County Health and Human Services were honored to accept this recognition on behalf of the many families who open their hearts and homes to children in need.

We joined the Prevent Child Abuse Florida by planting pinwheels as a symbol of hope, awareness, and the power of prevention.

As our local Community-Based Care agency, we are dedicated to strengthening families, supporting caregivers, and ensuring every child has the chance to grow up safe, supported, and thriving.

Child Abuse Prevention Month reminds us that protecting children is a shared responsibility — and together, we can build a stronger, safer St. Johns County.
