📢 PUBLIC NOTICE: Proposed 12-Month Moratorium on Data Centers

The St. Bernard Planning Commission has formally recommended a temporary 12-month moratorium on new data center developments. This proposal has now been forwarded to the Village Council for review.

🔎 Why a moratorium? Data centers demand significant amounts of energy, water, and land. This temporary pause will allow the Village to study how these facilities could impact our local infrastructure, utility capacity, and zoning laws — as well as how they might affect our vital legacy industries. Our priority is ensuring future growth protects St. Bernard's long-term economic health.

🗓️ Timeline & Next Steps:

- Tonight (Aug 27): The moratorium will be discussed during this evening's Village Council meeting.
- September 24: The earliest date the Village Council will hold a formal vote on the measure.
