Week of August 24th:
Elmwood Neighborhood: The contractor has completed water services on Elmwood Drive. This week they are beginning storm sewer installation on Elmwood Drive and will be completed with that task this week. During this utility work, trenches will be open in the streets, limiting street access during the workday. This week, the street grading crew will begin grading the street subgrade, placing draintile, and adding aggregate for the new roadbed.
Oakwood Road: Removal of driveways and other items will continue this week. The Temporary Water System will be hooked up to houses. Once storm sewer is complete on Elmwood Drive, that crew will move over to begin watermain construction on Oakwood. During this utility work, trenches will be open in the streets, limiting street access during the workday.
Other Project Areas: No anticipated work this week. Removals have been marked in the street in preparation for upcoming work.
Week of August 31st:
Elmwood Neighborhood: Street construction and draintile installation will continue on Elmwood Drive. It is possible that the watermain drilling crew will begin work in the cul-de-sacs of Elmwood Circle and Valleyview.
Oakland Road: Watermain construction will be wrapping up and move into water service construction. During this utility work, trenches will be open in the streets, limiting street access during the workday.
Other Project Areas: Reclamation of the street pavement on Marshland Ct, Meadowview Ter, Wehle Pl, Fire Station, and Highland Driveway are currently anticipated to occur on September 2 and September 3. These dates may change and should anticipate any of the day being possible for this work. Some curb and driveway removals on Marshland, Meadowview Terrace, and Wehle might begin as well. Access will generally remain normal for the most part with some short duration limits during certain activities. No parking will be allowed on the streets during the reclamation days, but residents can park in driveways and garages during that time.
Looking Ahead:
Elmwood Neighborhood: Street construction will continue on Elmwood Drive. Elmwood Circle and Valleyview will see watermain construction following Oakwood utilities. Watermain construction by drilling to the TH 7 watermain connections is possible for early September if it has not been started by the week of August 31.
Oakwood Road: Construction of storm sewer will follow the water utility work. Once all utilities are completed, the street section will be built. During this utility work, trenches will be open in the streets, limiting street access during the workday.
Other Project Areas: Following reclamation of the street pavement, draintile construction is anticipated to possibly begin on Marshland Court and Wehle Pl in spot locations. The streets will remain gravel for a few weeks with limited work besides removing some of the excess aggregate from the reclamation process. Access should be normal for the most part with some short duration limits during certain activities.
