Last Friday, we kicked off the 2026-2027 school year with a school-wide assembly! 😄
We introduced our theme: Grow Together🌻 we reviewed expectations 📝 and Davis the Dragon stopped by!🐉
The STC Library also presented a very special trophy to Davis for most Summer minutes read! Way to go!!!📚🏆
It's going to be a fantastic school year 🤩

The D303 Communitywide Education Facilities Committee has issued its findings after a 5-month learning and prioritizing process: 97% support among Committee members for a $295.6 million communitywide investment in their schools.

4th graders got an introduction to band by our 5th graders! Mrs. Ferrell even came out of “band retirement” to play along on the clarinet! Instrument testing and more information on how to join the band will be coming soon!

We had a fantastic time at Davis during our spring clean-up day on April 25.😄
Our garden was in need of some attention, and we enjoyed a wonderful morning with the Davis Garden & Grow committee. Together, we spread mulch, tilled the soil, and planted a variety of cool-weather crops.🌱🌻🪴☀️
It was a meaningful opportunity to foster community spirit among students of all ages!

The Davis Friendship Club, in partnership with the PTO, recently honored their amazing crossing guard, Nicole Kotsy, with a special surprise.😁
Kotsy has been the crossing guard at the corner of 7th St. and Horne for over 25 years. To show their appreciation, students chalked the walk by her corner with kind messages, wrote thoughtful notes and letters, and showed up at the end of the day to present those gifts to her. 🥰
The PTO put up signs and also thanked her for keeping our students safe.
Kotsy was so touched and expressed how much she appreciated the kind and thoughtful gesture, saying it made her year.
