Keslinger Road will be closed between La Fox Road and Harley Road beginning the week of June 1st, weather permitting, to facilitate construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Bunker Road and Keslinger Road.

A posted detour route utilizing Peck Road, IL Route 38, IL Route 47, and Hughes Road will direct traffic safely around the construction zone.

Access to the train station from the north will be maintained during construction via the newly constructed Bunker Road connection at La Fox Road. Commuters traveling to the train station are encouraged to allow additional travel time during construction.

This work is anticipated to be completed by November 2026, weather permitting.

Congratulations to the latest KCSO Citizens' Sheriffs Academy graduates! The group had a great time learning about evidence techniques, meeting some of our K-9s and their handlers, checking out tactical vehicles, and so much more. Their terrific questions and willingness to dig and learn kept our CSA coordinators, Sgt. Gabrielson and Deputy Knudtson, and all of the presenters on their toes. Thank you to the group for making this another great class!

Our next CSA class will begin in September 2026. Watch this page and kanesheriff.com for details and the sign-up form.

This Memorial Day, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Their courage, selflessness, and commitment to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. We are reminded that this day is not just about remembrance, but about gratitude for those who gave everything for the safety and liberty we enjoy today.

We also extend our respect to the families who carry on their legacy. Your strength and sacrifice are felt throughout our community. As we gather today, may we take a moment to reflect, honor, and remember.

Donuts, coffee, cops on rooftops… it can only mean one thing: Cop on a Rooftop is back this Friday in support of Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois! Whether we are in the drive-thru, on a rooftop, or inside talking to customers, we are joining in on the fundraiser at participating Dunkin’ locations listed below. Stop by throughout the county to grab your coffee, make a donation, and help support local athletes!

We have two locations this year specifically for the Kane County Sheriff's Office! The money raised for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois is only possible because of our amazing volunteers who help make this fun event such a success. Thank you to each police agency, its volunteers and our communities!

The Kane County Sheriff's Office two locations are:

• Dunkin Donuts in front of Planet Fitness on Route 38 in St. Charles
• Dunkin Donuts located at Kirk and Mesa in Aurora

The event runs from 5:00 AM – Noon at both locations. Come grab a coffee, support a great cause, and help us make this year the best one yet!

Happy International Nurses Day

Today, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office proudly recognizes and thanks the incredible nurses who serve both within our Corrections Division and throughout our community.

In our jail, nurses play a critical role every single day, providing care, compassion, and professionalism in a challenging environment. They ensure the health and well-being of those in custody while working side by side with our staff to maintain safety and wellness for all.

Beyond our facility, nurses across Kane County continue to be the backbone of our healthcare system, serving in hospitals, clinics, schools, and homes with so much dedication. Your commitment, resilience, and compassion do not go unnoticed.

Thank you for all that you do day in and day out.

National Police Week 2026 will be observed from May 11–17 as communities across the nation come together to honor the brave men and women who serve and protect each and every day. This week is also a solemn reminder of the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and the families who continue to carry that loss.

Here in Kane County and across Illinois, we thank all law enforcement officers for their dedication, sacrifice, and service to our communities.

Please take a moment this week to recognize those who wear the badge and those we have lost in the line of duty.

Happy Mother’s Day from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office

Today, we honor all mothers, and those who take on the role of a mother, who lead with strength, compassion, and dedication. Whether at home, in our communities, or serving in public safety, your impact is felt every single day. We are especially proud of the mothers within our agency who balance the demands of service with the responsibility of raising and supporting families. Your commitment, resilience, and care do not go unnoticed.

To every mom, stepmom, grandmother, guardian, mentor, and role model, thank you for the love, guidance, and sacrifice you give so selflessly. Wishing you a safe, happy, and well-deserved Mother’s Day.

Scam Alert: Fake Jury Duty Calls & Federal Warrants

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office has recently fielded numerous phone calls and reports associated with the Fake Jury Duty and Federal Warrant scams. We wanted to take a moment to keep you informed and protected. Scammers are posing as Kane County Sheriff's Office law enforcement deputies, claiming you or a family member has missed jury duty. During the conversation, the individual threatens to arrest you or a family member unless you pay immediately.

What they do:
• Use intimidation and urgency, saying a warrant is active
• Spoof phone numbers to appear from local police or sheriff’s offices that look legitimate, but in reality are not.
• Use real names of judges or law enforcement deputies to sound legitimate
• Ask for personal information like Social Security numbers or birthdates

They may demand payment through:
• Bitcoin or cryptocurrency
• Venmo or other apps
• Gift cards
• Cash/debit kiosks or wire transfers

Know the facts:
• Courts will NEVER call or email demanding money
• Law enforcement will NOT call you about a warrant
• Jury duty notices are sent by U.S. Mail only

If you receive a call:
• Hang up immediately
• Do NOT send money or provide personal information
• Verify by calling your local Sheriff’s Office or court directly
• Report it to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov or ic3.gov
